David Rees AM supports the White Ribbon Day Celebration- Say NO to violence against women

On Tuesday 19th November David Rees AM attended the White Ribbon event in the Senedd, a campaign combatting violence against women. Ahead of White Ribbon Day on Monday 25th November, the International Day for Eradication of Violence Against Women, David signed the ‘Not in my Name’ ribbon, pledging never to commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women.

The White Ribbon campaign is run by a group of men working to highlight the powerful message that violence against women must never be tolerated, accepted or ignored. This year’s campaign is particularly directed towards younger women and girls, working with schools and colleges to foster a culture in which violence towards women is unacceptable.

There are many ways to get involved: you can donate to the campaign, display a poster or wear a White Ribbon on November 25th, to show your support for ending violence against women. For more information, please see the White Ribbon Campaign website, http://www.whiteribboncampaign.co.uk/
