David Rees AM welcome Lottery funding in Aberavon.

David Rees AM welcomes the news that three projects in Aberavon have benefited from funding from the Big Lottery Fund. The three projects, Mozart Court Complex Association, Sandfields Steppers and the Skewen and District Historical society have all been successful in securing funding from the awards aim for ‘Improving the quality of life’.

As well as these three projects, other projects within the South Wales West region which have also received funding from the Big Lottery Fund will also have a positive impact on the lives of people within Aberavon. These projects continue to support the Big Lottery Funds mission to bring about real improvements to communities and those most in need by supporting health, education, environment and charitable work through funds raised for good causes by the National Lottery

David Rees AM said, “Each of these three projects provide opportunities for residents to undertake activities with a clear community focus and they provide a means by which the well-being of people in those communities is being supported.”.

He added, “I am encouraging other organisations within Aberavon to apply for the Big Lottery Fund awards in order to further improve the quality of the lives of the people living within our communities.”
